Wedding photography has come a long way in the last few years. From the classic but usually stiff and posed wedding photographs of the 1960s and 1970s, wedding photographers have evolved their approach to the reportage style favoured by couples today.

Wedding photojournalism continues to grow in popularity but it can be difficult to do well. With his long experience as a news photojournalist, Peter is perfectly placed to offer a unique professional photography service for your special day.

Formal wedding photographs still have a role to play but wedding photography should primarily tell the whole story of the day, bringing out the personalities of the bride, the groom, the attendants and the guests... Good wedding photography is about capturing the events in a human way. The end result should be about the people, not the ceremony special though that is. Wedding photographers should distil the essence of each individual wedding and then bottle it to savour in the years to come...”

Attending your wedding or civil partnership day from beginning to end, Peter handles the classically posed group portraits with humour and professionalism but is unobtrusive as he moves through the rest of the day, taking hundreds of candid photographs that capture the spirit and style, the emotion and the personalities of the people who attend your celebration. Later, in collaboration with you both, he personally designs your album from start to finish, bringing to life the narrative he photographed throughout the day.
